Way In
Hear O Israel

A Haredi, or 'Ultra-Orthodox' Jew, shouting during a
demonstration at Intel Corp's new electronic chip plant in
Jerusalem in November. Their complaint was that work was continuing
on the Sabbath. Haredim constitute 15% of Jews in Israel-Palestine,
and the government expects that to be 25% in 2019. 60% of them live
in poverty, declining regular jobs, according to the Bank of
Israel. But special mobile phones have been developed for them,
with no internet or photography, and calls costing 122 times as
much on the Sabbath.
