The Three Jewels

The British Museum's exhibition Images and Sacred Texts: Buddhism across Asia brings together art from across Asia over a thousand years exploring the 'three jewels of Buddhism: Buddha himself, his teachings, and the community of the enlightened.

Pictured here is the Tibetan master Tsong Khapa who revived Mahayana Buddhism in the fifteenth century. At the British Museum until 3 April 2011.
